Is it a real snowstorm?
Wednesday, February 7, 2007
YA!! Spring break is coming!!
A lot of things we can do in New York. I want to see a great Broadway show!! I want to see a NBA game and a ice hockey game!! I want to go to Boston to eat lobster. I want to go to time square to experience New York life. Certainly, I will go to the status of liberty, although it is smaller than I thought!!Actually, the thing I expect most is to see heavy snow here because it never happened in Taiwan.
What do you suggest us to do??
On a diet
On the other hand, I found something I like in America—the cup of ice cream and peanut butter with chunk. Those are high calories food which will make you fat. I can finish a cup of ice cream in one day. I can eat half bottle of peanut butter without anything, like toast. It is terrible. I think I gained 2 or 3 kilograms these days. I am not sure. Maybe more. Actually ,I afraid to weigh. I don’t want to face the figure.
I need on a diet now. NO EXCUSES. The one thing I should do first is not to buy these trash food again.

I love my dear roommates
One of them is from Taiwan. When we met first in our apartment, she looked so cool. We don’t talk too much, and then we dispersed to our room. On the other day, I cried in my room because I just arrived in New York and missed my parents so much. She gave me a note through the crack. She wrote she could talk to me if I felt lonely. I felt so sweat and we started our relationship at that time.
One of the other is from Japan. She just moved into our apartment last week. There is always a sweet smile on her face. The day before yesterday, after I finished my class and cooked in the kitchen, she talked to me enthusiastically. We done a lot of cultural exchanges between Taiwan and Japan, including food, movies, and so on. I think it is also a good opportunity to practice my English. We talked almost one and half hours, the longest time I spoke others in English since I gone to New York. HA!!
I know that living with strangers is a tough thing. But how lucky I was!! I have two lovely roommates.

My room
When I get St John's acceptance letter, I am worried about where I live in New York. My friend told me there was a available room downstairs her apartment. I decided to rent it although I never seen the apartment.
I like my apartment when I first seen it. It is a three-room apartment. I live in the largest one and I have my own bathroom. There is a little balcony outside my room and I can see a beautiful view, a park with green meadow, blue sky with little cloud, and a free trees. Especially after snow, it is another beautiful scenery.
I should share kitchen and living room with my roommates. Actually it is not a bad thing. I like to cook with my roommates and have dinner with them. We always have happy time when we eat together. Let make me not to feel lonely in New York.
I like my room. Even though it is small, it is comfortable, warm and with love.
